ZIMACS 2 has an enhanced search facility for mail and news. The example below is for news but the procedure is very similar for mail.

Highlight the newsgroup that you wish to search and then press the 'Search' button. Enter the search text and select from 'Subject titles only, 'By sender' or 'Message text'. Pressing the 'Search' button will show a screen as below:



The search nodes can be expanded by clicking on the '+' sign. Select the item that you wish to jump to and press 'Go to'.
