How do I backup my emails, news posts and settings?
In ZIMACS, click the "backup" menu and you wil be
presented with a dialog box like the one below.

Note that the folder specified by default as the backup folder will depend on where you
installed ZIMACS. You can change the location of the backed up files by clicking
the Set Folder button if you wish. It is suggested that you perform the "recommended" backup,
as this will make a backup of all your ZIMACS program settings, as well as
any emails and news posts you have.
Once you have clicked the Backup button, the name of the file containing your backup
will be displayed. This will not overwrite any earlier backup you have made, so if you perform
a regular backup you may want to manually delete old backups from time to time to save space.
The backup will be a zip file, and you will need 3rd party software to restore a backup.
If you do not have software capable of opening zip files, you can download a shareware version
of Winzip by going to the Files section in ZIMACS and downloading the file winzip##.exe
in the Utilities category (## will be a number that reflects the available version of Winzip).
