How do I transfer my existing copy of ZIMACS to another computer?
You will need to begin by installing ZIMACS on the new computer; simply copying the entire ZIMACS folder will not work. Then follow the instructions here to create a backup of the appropriate ZIMACS files. In the backup section in ZIMACS, you will be told the name of the file containing the backed up files - it will have a name similar to zBak0001.zip, and will be in the Backups folder that is present in your main ZIMACS folder. Copy this file to the ZIMACS folder on the new computer, and unzip it using an appropriate 3rd party program. Allow the unzip program to overwrite existing files if you are prompted to do so.
Please note that ZIMACS is not intended for use on more than one computer at a time. If you run two installations in parallel, some emails and news items will be stored on one computer, and some on the other unless you continuously copy the zetnet.mdb file between the two computers.
