1) Various settings need to be entered into ZIMACS 2 before you can use it. Load ZIMACS, and check the "SelDP" box on the Main screen, besides the auto and internet buttons.

2) Click the "Auto" button and the following options screen will appear.

3) Your account information in the first four boxes should be correct, but please double check this information.

4) Next, check the following points

• The "Always Send Email Immediatly" box is checked
• The "Don't dial a connection" box is not checked
• The "Connect Using" box displays the name of your modem. If not, please select it from the drop-down list
• The "Phone Number" box displays the phone number you wish to dial. This will be "BT Surftime" or "0800 Freecall" if you use either of these services. Otherwise, you should select the "BT 0845 digital" option
• If you use a service requiring a dialling prefix, enter this into the "Dialling Prefix" box. If you are unsure, leave this box empty

5) Click the "Save & Exit" button, and you will be returned to ZIMACS. Installation is now complete! Instructions on using ZIMACS can be found here. Existing users of ZIMACS may like to read What's new in V2 and Hints and Tips.
